Busy Few Days Lots happening here the last couple of days. I took Friday off to get ready for our Robbie Burns party, which was Saturday night. I think everyone had a good time - at least I hope they did - and as usual we had tons of food. We sent a lot of it home with our guests and I spent part of yesterday bundling the rest up and sticking it in our freezer.
On Friday night, Jamie and I went to see puppeteer Eric Bass at the Yukon Arts Centre.

Beautifully done, and one of the puppets invited Jamie to go up on stage and be a part of the orchestra. Jamie was thrilled, and talked to the puppet like he was a real person, shaking his hand, etc. Really neat to see.
Also over the week-end, Alan got word that he has survived the final cuts for the Arctic Winter Games soccer team, so he's off to Northern Alberta at the end of February. He's also been invited to travel with the Yukon Selects (top men's team) to a tournament in Prince George the week after he returns from Alberta. Hope his body is up to this. He's now begun his 'healthy eating' regime again: six meals a day, high in carbs and protein, lots and lots of water, etc.
We still haven't heard if Iris' dance group has been selected to go to the Arctic Winter Games as part of the cultural contingent. I really hope she has that chance.
To round off the week-end, I got a call for a job interview with Yukon Energy. It's this Wednesday. I'll let you know how it goes.
