Phew!
Well, the job interview went quite well. I really liked the CEO, who I would report to. He's a direct, "get things done" kind of guy, which appeals to me. He doesn't like bureaucracy and gets frustrated by government processes. This mindset also appeals to me. Plus it sounds like there are many interesting projects on the go that I could sink my teeth into.
Of course there's a woman already in the Yukon Energy position, so my changes are slim. Jamie said to me yesterday morning before leaving for school, "I hate to tell you this mom but I hope you realize you only have a 15 per cent chance at getting this job." He's probably about right. But even if I don't get it, I think I might have at least given the incumbent a bit of a run for her money. I should hear something tomorrow or early next week.
