AWG Day 3
Alan's team just won their game against Greenland. That puts them in first place going into the semi-finals, even if they lose their next game against Northern Alberta. And still no word on Alan's injury or if he's playing. I'm about ready to strangle both my kids.
Iris' message to me that Alan was injured - without any details or follow up - reminds me of when I was little, and there was a car accident right outside our house. My dad went to see what he could do to help and he sent me into the house. Shortly after that the phone rang. It was my mom needing to be picked up from a church fundraiser. I said to her, "Oh Dad can't come and get you - there was a car accident and he's with the ambulance." My mother of course went into panic mode, and I guess I never was clear on the phone, because it wasn't until a taxi brought her home that she realized it wasn't my dad who'd been in the car accident.
I guess what goes around comes around!
