Head's fears for bus pupils. A English head teacher worries one of his pupils could be killed if rowdy behaviour is not controlled on school buses. Is this what we are headed for here?

Reading the article referenced above invoked a sense of deep irony - the Minister of Sport and Recreation has just launched a new health and physical activity resource, which aims to improve the wellbeing of New Zealand children. Read about it here.

But the Minister of Education is busy closing rural schools, meaning that some children in rural areas have to spend up to two hours a day sitting still in a bus. Read what ACT have to say about it here.

This is not a case of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing - the two Ministers are the same person: The Honourable Trevor Mallard.
