TelstraClear, Johnny Clegg, yep, again...

One of the reasons why I got so annoyed about my service problems with TelstraClear was that whilst I was struggling to get basic Internet access, TelstraClear were starting to flight their new advertising campaign boasting "The age of isolation is over". The centre piece of their campaign is an advert in which a young boy on the beach finds a rope. He picks it up and starts to pull on it, and lo! the far parts of the world, tied to the other end(s) of the rope, are tugged into view.  Indeed, it would appear that the age of isolation is over. That is, if you have a working Internet connection.

So I was a little taken aback by the similarity to the following advert that I found on YouTube:

The song on the (original?) YouTube advert is a very moving one, written by Johnny Clegg to mark the death of one of his band members.
