Small Schools New Zealand
Here in Upper Hutt, New Zealand, the Labour government planned to 'consolidate' our schools. This at a time when most of the research would seem to indicate that small schools are far better for pupils! These were my writings about this issue.

Oops

Well, the All Blacks didn't win. This is scarcely believable. That is a problem with projections. They sometimes, for unforeseen reasons, are wrong. At least we still have the All Blacks and they still play rugby. And there will be a future world cup that the All Blacks may even win.

Closing schools now, because of shortfalls predicted 10 to 20 years in the future, leaves us with expensive problems to solve if the projections prove wrong... This is not "sustainable" planning.
