Bad Maths I love bad maths - and I feel that the school network review process is revealing many fine examples. So I thought I would add to the noise in my own quite way. Consider 1 000 000 New Zealand citizens are 16 or younger. I assume most are at school. Mr. Mallard predicts a role drop of 60 000 in 15 years time. Bill English notes that of 164 schools reviewed to date, 68 will be closed. So, for a predicted roll drop of just over 6% in 15 years time, we are closing 40% of schools reviewed.
