Learning from experience - some practical issues. learning from doing= learning from a particular type of action.

i have found the opening comments very interesting.
At the sharp end of the 'doing' bit are people have have'done' and want validation of their 'doing' through a research degree programme/high level academic certification. i am particularly interested in the riches and difficulties arising from the research degree supervision of, simply put, political activists, sometimes called ( a special case of) 'returning professionals'. one 'problem' can be that such people 'know' the outcomes of their study even before they have gone through a research question clarification process, and, in the extreme, may remain immune to the latter, exerting the primacy of their direct, special(exclusive) experience above all other forms of knowledge inquiry... ...
