Windows Server 2003 for Developers

In this overview session, you will learn how to build a complete multi-tier, end-to-end solution on Windows Server 2003. You will see how IIS 6.0 has been completely re-architected for performance, security, and unprecedented reliability. You will build a web service with ASP.NET and exercise the new features of IIS 6.0. We’ll explore how you can use Authorization Manager for authentication and AzRoles for powerful role-based authorization. We’ll see how to utilize the dynamic group capability of Windows Server 2003 and authenticate mobile users with the Authorization Manager. In addition, you’ll learn how to use Enterprise Instrumentation Framework (WMI) and perform tracing on a live application that’s in production.
