Soma and Jeff  are both blogging about a beta of a new Microsoft application code-named "Acrylic" (I think the final name is "Expression") which is intended for illustration, graphics and painting.

Soma gushes uncontrollably about Microsoft Research and the work we've done transferring technologies into products, including Acrylic. Ooh, I just hate it when he does that :-) Seriously, though, this is going to be a fun year, because there are a lot of Microsoft products that will shipping with a lot of MSR technologies in them that we've been dying to talk about (but couldn't during the development process), and we'll finally get our chance.
