Over on Benzene's sister-blog Done with Mirrors, Callimachus offers up his own prediction for the presidential election, while chiding for having four different predictions. Those who read the whole item understood that these were multiple entries for a specific contest, but one can be forgiven for missing the point in all my blather.
For those who insist on knowing which is my "real" guess, I hereby declare Benzene's official prediction to be the one labeled "Entry #2". That's the last one in the discussion, the one that shows Kerry winning 311-227.
Update: I noticed that Chris Bowers, one of three who posts at the election-watching blog MyDD matches my guesses exactly.
Update 2: Oops. Now (Monday) Chris Bowers revises his picks and moves Ohio back to Bush, so he no longer matches me exactly. However, in the comment section of MyDD's thread soliciting predictions from readers, our 311-227 scenario is by far the commonest single guess, with roughly one out of 10 who guess plunking for it. (There may have been a piling on effect there, though, especially since that was Chris's prediction as of when the thread began.)
