Hey, what do you know? I got a letter "printed" over on Andrew Sullivan's blog. I've sent him emails maybe about a dozen times, and while I never really expect them to be printed, this one seemed even less likely than most. Go figure.
Andrew's policy — a good one, I think — is to print all emails anonymously, but anyone who knows me will easily recognize it as mine, since it's one of my standard speeches. (Here is a longer version, from 1999.) A certain type of comment is almost guaranteed to trigger it — which is exactly what happened here. (I actually wrote it at work, where I happened to be reading Andrew's blog during lunch.)
Probably the widest audience it's ever reached.
