Often, in the course of a long road trip, my mind will wander to odd places. (This is a good thing, and it's one of the reasons I like to take road trips.)
At one point during my recent trip to Montana, I found myself trying to dream up natural-sounding sentences in which vowels and consonants alternate throughout the entire sentence. The two best ones I remember are:
"I met a cute guy at a garage sale today."
and
"Is a Japanese car economical?"
I'm not sure why I cast the second one as an interrogative. The answer to the question works just as well: "Yes, a Japanese car is economical."
I leave it to the reader to invent political ones. (Hint: "Vote for Obama...")
