Spent the day at Ad Astra yesterday, chatted with several people I'd been hoping to run into, including Pat Forde, Phyllis Gotlieb, Sandra Kasturi, Robert J. Sawyer and Julie Czerneda, among others. Listened to an interesting presentation on Prisoners of Gravity by Rick Green and Mark Askwith, and had a lengthy conversation with a friendly fellow working for a Canadian publisher who urged me to send my novel manuscript to him. But I ain't gonna -- gonna send it to New York instead. :) Nothing against him or his publisher... he seemed like a great guy and they are putting out some great books. But I just gotta start with New York, if ya know what I mean.
