Yesterday marked my last day working on NEXT, one of CBC Radio's summer replacement shows. The final episode (about the future of sex) aired this morning, and will air again this coming Sunday evening. It was one of the highlights of my career working on this show, with host Nora Young and co-producer Alison Moss. I wrote several of the sequences and voiced several as well as engineering the show, and as a result felt fully invested. It was a privilege working with Nora, one of our more talented host/producers, and the equally gifted Alison, who was great fun in the studio.
I also did some work for another summer replacement show, 50 Tracks, with another talented and, lemme tell you, hard working bunch. I packaged episode ten, which I believe airs tomorrow, and helped them finish their Labour Day special, which will air from 10-3pm EST Monday, and in which they will count down the 50 most influential songs of the previous century, as chosen by special panellists together with the listening audience. Some great music and a few surprising choices.
