Search engine comparison of Social Software Symposium. DayPop is another good engine to go to when looking for what bloggers are talking about on a specific topic. Here's a search for Social Software Symposium. I also built a PubSub search, in addition to my searches on Feedster and Technorati. It'll be interesting to compare all of these services and see how they differ over the next few days (and, of course, to Google, MSN, and Yahoo). So, here's the list of searches for "Social Software Symposium": Google -- I added the word Microsoft to searches on the bigger engines like Google, Yahoo, and MSN. Here's a "Stack" from PubSub.com. TheWorldVotes: global poll for the next American president. Theworldvotes is a project offering a worldwide poll on the American presidential election in November. People from around the globe can register and signal their choice via the site, which is supported by a group of largely European organizations. Architecture is website, email list, and a comments page; a blog or wiki would be great.

New album only available for purchase by SMS. A new distribution stragegy for an album and a real first! A rock band says their new release - and all future releases - will only be available for purchase by text message - because CD prices are too high.
Rock legend Search will release its new album in a [base "]couple of months,[per thou] and fans needn[base ']t bother rushing to the record stores to get it: The Empire Album will be sold exclusively via SMS, reports TechCentral.
