Today I entered an article on the immune system. I wrote this article several months ago and today seemed like the opportune time to place it immediately after Dr. Budwig's diet, since the diet is all about boosting the immune system.
The entire notion of depressed and/or malfunctioning immune systems seems, to me, to be synonymous with the skyrocketing statistics on cancer. Isn't it strange that in this land of milk and honey so many people have depressed immune systems? It sort of begs the question “Why?”
I believe our immune systems are suffering from a lack of nutrition. The food we eat is not sufficiently nutritious because of the lack of proper fertilization of the ground used to grow the produce that we consume. There is some evidence, but not much, that the medical establishment is catching on to the connection between nutririon and disease.
That is why there is a booming market (estimated $20 billion per year) in supplementation. There are many people who are aware of the need to provide our bodies with nutrition beyond that which we receive from our food. They supplement, they eat organic crops when possible and they eat plenty of seafood.
Organic crops are thase grown in composted soil. Composted soil has the trace elements and the sea has all of them and seafood does as well.
