Entries are few recently because golf season has arrived and so also has the season for gardening. So, you might ask, what has gardening and golf got to do with leukemia? Golf has nothing to do with leukemia but I'll be spending a lot of time on the golf course in spite of dragging around some extra white blood (leukemia) cells. Gardening has a lot to do with leukemia or any other type of cancer.
My research informs me that my immune system is lacking some necessary cancer fighting properties in the form of trace elements and organic compounds. I am starting some organic vegetable gardening because I believe that the majority of vegetables we buy at the market are grown in soil that is depleted in trace elements. That is because farmers fertilize with chemicals and the soil is deficient in some of the trace elements. By adding compost and manure to the soil the earth is reenergized and the crops grown in that soil will be able to supply my immune system with the necessary cancer fighting properties when I consume those crops.
My next post will be after I receive the results of my next blood test and those results will be available some time in July.
