Detoxification and Cultural Bias
I have been undergoing an intensive detoxification procedure for the past 25 days. My objective is to rid my body of toxins so that my immune system will have a greatly improved chance to cure my Chronic Lymphatic Leukemia.
I have often thought, during this process, that there is, at least in my experience, a definite cultural bias concerning the subject of detoxification. It is okay to talk about detoxification but only in a very general manner. To get into specifics would be to place oneself on the wrong side of a very disapproving audience.
That is a real shame! It is a shame because only communication will bring down the veil of ignorance that shrouds, what I believe to be, the greatest hidden health threat to people who live in the so-called civilized world.
For most people our modern lifestyle has us eating processed food, contaminated with herbicides, pesticides, hormones, and other chemicals, such as the residue from prescription drugs, that contribute to a toxin-laden body. Most of those toxins are trapped in our colons by the mucus generated by our bodies in an attempt to encapsulate the toxins. That mucus forms an adhesive that clings to the bowel walls.
The path to good health should begin with a vigorous attempt to clean the colon and then cleaning the other major organs of detoxification, namely the liver and the skin, from the inside. That provides a pretty good segue to my next entry about enemas.
