As the second part to my earlier article, An Introduction to Service-Oriented Architecture from a Java Developer Perspective I wrote another article for OnJava Constructing Services with J2EE. In this article, I discuss what it takes to build a simple Java web service with J2EE and how Web services metadata will radically simplify web service development.

In the meantime I'm busy in migrating J2EE 1.4 Blueprint Java Adventure Builder application to use EJB 3.0 and Web services Metadata and I will write on blogs on its progress in the coming weeks.
