Fed up with life in the UK we moved to France for a new start. Left behind the private schooling, traffic jams and housing estates for a better quality of life. We now live in Brittany, France running gites (holiday cottages).

The four of went to try out the new Ten Pin Bowling alley in Dinan this afternoon, Le Belem Bowling. When the kids bowled, 'bumpers' rose out of the gulleys to keep the ball on the track making it much more enjoyable for them. It worked out as 4.50 € per game which isn't too bad.

These are our experiences of running a gite business in Brittany, France. A gite is the French equivalent of a country holiday cottage. French culture, language, taxes and bureaucracy.
