Fed up with life in the UK we moved to France for a new start. Left behind the private schooling, traffic jams and housing estates for a better quality of life. We now live in Brittany, France running gites (holiday cottages).

Ryanair recently announced new routes flying from Nottingham East Midlands airport, UK, and from London Stansted to Dinard and Nantes.

Dinard is less than 30 minutes drive from us, and Nantes is approximately 90 minutes drive.

These are our experiences of running a gite business in Brittany, France. A gite is the French equivalent of a country holiday cottage. French culture, language, taxes and bureaucracy.
