Walk/Run 1 hour 51 minutes Distance 7 miles and a bit

That was fun, that being the longest run since I was born again, nicely split at 50 minutes out, 51 minutes back. It's always fun to push the distance into places never before run. This afternoon, I headed west on Waterfront Trail, from the head of Frenchman's Bay in Pickering to just west of the Rouge River in Scarborough. (All of which are located on the north shore of Lake Ontario just east of Toronto.)

Hand-carrying a 500-ml water bottle just isn't sufficient anymore, now that my long one lasts well over one hour. I'll have go to my nearest running store--Running Room in Pickering--and see what's available in belts and such. When I stopped in there for fuel several weeks ago, I did notice a huge selection of bottles and belts. I guess it ain't the 1970s anymore in terms of running paraphernalia.

Raspberry-flavored Hammer Gell is proving to be my favorite for refueling during the long runs. I must visit Hammerr Gel's site for tips on when to take how much. Right now, I'm consuming a half-pack every 25 minutes or so--which kept me going tonight without any fade in energy.
