WALK 20 MINUTES -- WEIGHT 238

Felt good to be in motion, especially on a sunny Ajax waterfront. Soon after the walk, began to feel the drowsiness that is a sure sign of the day after the day after a tough workout.

Wore my new orthotics for two weight-bearing hours today, include the walk. Every day I need to increase usage by an hour. When I no longer can feel or notice the orthotics, I'll be good to run with them.

Tonight, Significant Other and I journeyed north to Markham to check out a running store called Running Free and to buy me a pair of New Balance 587s. It's the shoe I've been wearing for some time now because it's a "highly stable trainer for runners who require maximum motion control, support and cushioning," according to New Balance.

Gait Works, my orthotics maker, informed me that in my left leg I pronate AND supinate. That's what caused the knee pains when I first started doing 14-milers-plus a couple of months back.

The large Running Free store is superb with pricing that seems to be slightly lower than the ubiquitous Running Room chain. Go http://www.runningfree.ca. The site is superb, too.

Early to bed tonight, eh?
