REST DAY I've turned again to John Bingham's Marathoning for Mortals for my next training program. In the first one, I was able to walk/run the half in 3/2-minute intervals. The next program, will see me run/walk the half in 4/1 intervals, and hopefully quicker than 3 hours 2 minutes. In that this program will see me increase the run portion of each interval by 50 percent--to 4 minutes from 2--I'm just a bit apprehensive about aiming for too much of an improvement over the next four months. On the other hand, I have laid down a pretty good base since January 9 (See quote under weblog heading above.), and I do want to get my weigh down at least another 12 pounds. |
