WALK -- 25 MINUTES, TREADMILL, WEIGHT - 237
Shoot, shoot, shoot! My left knee, quads and hamstrings have a problem. I can barely walk, until I warm up a bit. There isn't pain, just a most uncomfortable seized-up feeling. Unsure what the problem is and what caused it. The possibilities are:
--I didn't stretch after the 6 miles on the weekend.
--My weight is too hard on my limbs, specifically the left one.
--I should be wearing my orthotics all the time, not just when I work out.
--My running shoes have worn out. (New ones have been on order since January 31.)
I didn't notice anything during the 6 miles. All this started the day after and then got worse the day after the day after. And all this on only the second week of my 30K training plan.
So, I took it easy on the treadmill today, stretched well, and iced the afflicted areas.
