EVE OF CHRISTMAS EVE
One of the nicest aspects of Christmas is that, if you bake, you get to lick the mixing spoons and bowls.
My cold is lifting so I'm able to spend the afternoon in the kitchen making the frozen white chocolate and raspberry mousse torte that has become a Christmas tradition in our family, replete with bittersweet chocolate leaves I make myself. You can imagine how heavenly the licking is. Since I'm alone this afternoon, there is no danger of looking the fool as I dive into the bowls full face.
