Born-Again Runner . . . sort of
Backgrounder, dated January 9, 2004: I'm in my 62nd year, having carried 242 to 246 pounds on my 6'1-1/2" frame for too many years. My high-school weight was 176, so I could drop up to 70 pounds, if I could. Today, I ran for the first time in years, almost three minutes--twice! I've been born again. Alleluia!

AVERAGE WEIGHT FOR LAST WEEK: 240.00 LB, DOWN 1.86

Hey, that's excellent progress from my starting point of 246 lb three weeks ago! So far, I've averaged weight loss of 2.0 lb per week. I really only want to take one pound off per week, but I'll take two as the beginning weeks are probably the easy weeks.

The key has been using FitDay to track calories eaten: http://www.fitday.com

RECAP: April 17--246 lb, April 24--244.5, May 1--241.86, May 8--240.0

Calories eaten today, 2,688, calories burned, 3,001.
