Born-Again Runner . . . sort of
Backgrounder, dated January 9, 2004: I'm in my 62nd year, having carried 242 to 246 pounds on my 6'1-1/2" frame for too many years. My high-school weight was 176, so I could drop up to 70 pounds, if I could. Today, I ran for the first time in years, almost three minutes--twice! I've been born again. Alleluia!

WALK 50 MINUTES TO THE LAKE

At the crack of dawn, we're off to Iles de la Madelaine to hunt for great lobster and gooey cheese.

I won't have daily access to the Web so I may not posting regularly for the next two weeks.

CALORIES: 2,376 eaten, 3,119 burned, down 743 for the day.

AVERAGE FOR PARTIAL WEEK: 237.4 LB., down 0.43 LB. I've already packed the scales, so won't be able to weigh myself tomorrow when I expext to drop the daily weight to 236 and quite likely lose another full pound by Monday, my normal weigh-in day.
