Some thoughts on today's news. First I was saddened to read about the
death of David Brudnoy. David was the first libertarian I had contact
with spending many nights trying to tune in WBZ from Boston. His path to a coherent

This mornings list of news stories are almost all upbeat with
optimistic projections for the next couple of years - hope it true.
Have a great business day as we prepare startup #6.

Former Senators Connie Mack of Florida and John
Breaux of Louisiana, the chairmen of President Bush's new tax reform
panel, have been granted a historic opportunity to dramatically
overhaul our economically debilitating federal tax system. The surest
way for the tax panel to crack through the political gridlock that has
paralyzed this issue for decades would be to endorse the Freedom to
Choose Flat Tax. This is an idea that I first introduced on these pages
exactly eight years ago -- to an extraordinarily enthusiastic
reception.
