Justices Limit Ability to Sue Health Plans. The Supreme Court rejected efforts by states to give patients the ability to sue managed-care companies for damages for refusing to cover treatment. By Linda Greenhouse. [New York Times: Health]
I wonder what is in the water down at the Supreme Court building? This is the third decision that goes to the wrong party. They dodged the issue of church and state in the discussion over the Pledge of Allegiance (a flawed piece of tripe if ever there was one, even with the under god part) through a technicality, then they ruled against Miranda (OK, so maybe, technically they didn't, but it is a tough sell that they didn't) and now they rule in favor of the insurance scamers...er...agencies that make their decisions based on how much it will cost them, rather than whether or not it will actually help you get better...regardless of what trained medical doctors tell you you need.
Are the lawyers that are standing up before the Justices not doing a good enough job? Or are they even trying? Or has the current regime finally lost their mind?
