It is August here in the shadow of the US Capital and things are DULL. Even the bluster over the upcoming Presidential elections seems to be in slow gear. That doesn't mean there isn't anything going on, but what is going on is being over looked because the top investigative reporters are all at the beach and the second stringers are covering the news for the last few weeks before the the fall season gets really rolling.
With the Republican convention approaching (or is it over yet?), "Patriots Day" (also called September 11) and the elections themselves in November, the fall promises to be something exciting (if not over the top). So charge the batteries, make sure your survival kits are in good shape, grab a couple of flats of water and check your insurance. The last half of 2004 could be very exciting. Personally, I would be very happy if it passes us by without a sound.

[Yahoo! News - Top Stories]
Maybe it is just me, but how is this helping the economy get back on its feet, or solving world hunger? It is a really slow news day when this much ink is dedicated to this story...
