Bill Clinton to have heart bypass. Former US President Bill Clinton is sent to hospital for a heart bypass operation after suffering chest pains. [BBC News | News Front Page | UK Edition]

Now why didn't the US papers have this?  Oh, they probably do, but they also don't have RSS feeds either - something about keeping advertizers happy - regardless of the fact that I wouldn't pick up a New York Times anyway.

I don't know what to think.  Obviously, I feel for the families that have been put through this ordeal.

Maryland court rejects paper requirement for e-voting. A judge said it would be too costly to allow voters skeptical of electronic voting systems to opt for paper ballots. [Computerworld News]

Clearly this judge is not up to speed on the issues...that is the only logical explanation - it is not however the ONLY explanation.

Hard drive with 23,000 Social Security numbers disappears. California State University officials believe the data was inadvertently thrown away, triggering a new state law requiring all people whose information was stolen to be notified. [Computerworld News]

This actually isn't as rare as it may first appear...
