I have been rather lax of late, but then I have also been rather busy too.  Since I last picked up keyboard and mouse, I have become a member of the Prince William County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), gotten a part-time job (and worked close to full-time hours) and then gotten a full-time job and kept the part-time job, so as to be working more hours than one might think are normal.  Add to all that the pending holidays, the after-holiday construction projects and the inevitable little things that pop up to make ones live interesting, it just doesn't leave a lot of available time.  Not that I have been idle in any way.  I finished up the 9/11 Commission Report and intend to comment on it.  I am reading a follow-up that comments on what the 9/11 Commission chose to ignore (the author's perspective), I have been reading a couple of books from the and Philosophy series - specifically I finished Baseball and Philosophy and have started into The Matrix and Philosophy and The Lord of the Rings and Philosophy.  All of which are very interesting books.  I also polished off a book called America the Broke, which I will comment more on in a later posting.

Fortunately, the bulk of the global idiots seem to be taking a break from their toils and King George seems to be keeping a low profile out of the United States (but welcomed with open arms [not] on his travels abroad...).

So, comments and pithy statements to come...even Redmond will not be spared.
