ARRL Field Day 2005 publicity information available [ARRL Amateur Radio News]

June 25-25 is Field Day, a chance for Amateur Radio to strut its stuff.  I personally think it has lost the emergency operations componant, but it is a good time and a chance to get out and operate.  In the meantime, SET weekend is the first weekend in October, and that is the time for emergency operations tests.

Spears Lashes Out Over Pregnancy Rumors (AP). AP - Tired of pregnancy reports, Britney Spears is lashing out at tabloid magazines. "Do you, Us Weekly, In Touch, Star and other desperate magazines want employees who are honest, or those who are liars?" Spears writes in a posting on her Web site addressed "Dear False Tabloids." [Yahoo! News: Technology]

So what leads me to think that 1) she is pregnant and 2) her marriage, such as it is, is on the rocks?  Me thinks she doth protest too much.

Government Abstinence Web Site Draws Ire (AP). AP - An array of advocacy groups are calling on the federal government to take down one of its new Web sites, saying it presents biased and inaccurate advice to parents on how to talk to their children about sex. [Yahoo! News: Technology]

Interestingly, there was a report in the Washington Post a week or so ago saying that the number of persons suffering from STDs who claimed to practice abstinence was about the same as those that did not.  Kind of makes you wonded what it is they are abstaining from....

Blue Jays finalize opening-day roster By CBC. [CBC | Baseball News]

A good looking roster.  Hopefully good enough to finish in the top three this season.  Otherwise, it may be time to start looking for some new talent.
