Supreme Court: Creditors Can't Seize IRAs (AP). AP - The Supreme Court on Monday ruled that creditors may not seize Individual Retirement Accounts when people file for bankruptcy, giving protection to a nest egg relied upon by millions of Americans. [Yahoo! News: Top Stories]
This is good to see. Of course, if you get youself into the position of declaring bankruptcy in the first place, you have much bigger issues to deal with.

Red Falls Out of Favor As Teacher's Choice (AP). AP - Of all the things that can make a person see red, school principal Gail Karwoski was not expecting parents to get huffy about, well, seeing red. At Daniels Farm Elementary School in Trumbull, Conn., Karwoski's teachers grade papers by giving examples of better answers for those students who make mistakes. But that approach meant the kids often found their work covered in red, the color that teachers long have used to grade work. [Yahoo! News: U.S. National]
Colour specialists? Purple ink? "This is what you have done right, not what is wrong?" Would someone please tell me how we are helping our children improve if we are coddling them? There would not need to be a standards test and stupid laws like No Child Left Behind (which has nothing to do with education) if we were more focused ON TEACHING THE CHILDREN TO THINK, instead of worrying about hurting their feelings, or, more correctly, the feelings of their parents.

[Ask Tom MOST RECENT ARTICLES]
Yeah, it's a geek post, but one that if you are into databases and looking for database answers, you might want to consider. I have always like the Oracle platform and this just reinforces the opinion.
