Well, let's see - we have high gas prices (and they are not likely to come down before fall), ridiculously low interest rates, vehicles that get less than 10 mile to the gallon, wasteful spending by the government, increased government debt (from both wasteful and required programs that have out-lived their usefulness) and a job market that is either outsourced off-shore, being paid significantly less then than even three years ago and large numbers of people still out of work. Oh, and ads telling us to buy more so consumer debt is over $10,000 per person. And they wonder why the economy is in trouble?
