Microsoft Gives Details on Windows Release (AP). AP - Microsoft Corp.'s plan to hardwire computer security into a silicon chip rather than relying on software alone will make its debut in the next release of the Windows PC operating system that will ship late next year. [Yahoo! News: Technology]

Sure...and I have some swampland in Florida to sell you as well.  All this chip will do is prevent Microsoft's software from being installed on other machines - no chip, no OS.  Oh, and the price will go up as well.  Get out your checkbooks because the average user will NOT be able to do any of this.

Bush to Tell Saudis Oil Prices Will Damage Markets (Reuters). Reuters - President Bush on Monday said he would tell Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah that high oil prices will damage markets and will discuss the kingdom's oil production capacity with the Saudi leader. [Yahoo! News: Top Stories]

Actually, high prices will force the US to make changes that it does not want to make.  Changes that are politically sensitive and harmful to the bottom line, regardless of the damage being done to cousumers.  Maybe we need to seriously review the entire mess.
