Before you get all excited and start patting people on the back, you should know that people working a block (that's about 500 yards) from the north side of the White House, in government facilities, knew nothing about this unless they happened to have a radio on. There was no evacuation notice, no hint of anything amiss. System does not work, if saving lives is the what the system is designed to do.
