MS Office XML Formats Not OK with GNU (Ziff Davis). Ziff Davis - Microsoft's insistence that users of the Open XML format attribute it in their code renders the license not truly open source, experts say. [Yahoo! News: Technology News]

Yet again, Microsoft takes a couple of perfectly good standards and screws them up so badly that even their original developers would not know them.

Teens' Take: Sex Is All Around Them (washingtonpost.com). washingtonpost.com - This is what teenagers at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School tell you: They talk about sex. [Yahoo! News: Top Stories]

I think the line is out of the mouths of babes (and in this case, the double entendre is applicable).  It is time for parents to take off their halos and come out of the clouds.  You may not like talking about sex, and you may find homosexuality personally offensive, but if you DO NOT start talking to your children about it, at best you may find yourself a grandparent before your time and at worst, you will find yourself with a dead child.

The fact that you have a child means you know something about sex.  If you will not teach it at home, then it MUST be taught at school, if only for the sake of the children

Goss Claims He Has Idea Where Bin Ladin Is (AP). AP - The director of the CIA says he has an "excellent idea" where Osama bin Laden is hiding, but that the United States' respect for sovereign nations makes it more difficult to capture the al-Qaida chief. [Yahoo! News: Top Stories]

Since I do not trust the United States government's ability to analyze intelligence data (it is not that I do not believe the agents are doing their utmost to collect and analyze - I belive they are - but somewhere along the line it goes from solid intelligence to squishy political rhetoric), I am going to have to say that he is no longer where the United States things he is.  Does Goss know.  I have a dollar that says he does not have a clue.
