Televangelist Calls for Chavez' Death (AP). AP - Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson suggested on-air that American operatives assassinate Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez to stop his country from becoming "a launching pad for communist infiltration and Muslim extremism."[Yahoo! News: U.S. National]

Many would agree that Pat Robertson is not playing with a full deck, but to say this on open airwaves not only makes him look like an idoit, for the governement (especially the Republican party) not to immediately distance itself from him and these statements is even more proof that the United States is not paying attention to its worst enemy.  Itself.

Tour Head 'Troubled' by Armstrong Report (AP). AP - Lance Armstrong denied a report Tuesday in the French sports daily L'Equipe that said the seven-time Tour de France champion used the performance-enhancing drug EPO to help win his first Tour in 1999.[Yahoo! News: Top Stories]

So let me understand this - the paper used urine that is six? seven? years old to prove that a drug that could not even be tested for back then was in anonymous urine samples that might have come from Lance Armstrong?  Boy I hope their chain of custody and proof is a lot stronger than that.  I do not have the scientific background, or all the facts, but I belive urine begins to break down over time, just like most biological materials.  A seven year old second sample is hardly going to hold up.  Besides, Armstrong did it seven times.  It would take more than a small dose of drugs to achieve this.
