I am glad the widow is so forgiving, because I sure am not. It is unconscionable that ANYONE would be text messaging behind the wheel, let alone someone with almost no driving experience. Manslaughter may be the law, but something more significant should be the penalty. Loss of driving privileges springs to mind...and I am not thinking about a time limit here either.
