NATIVE PLANTS OF THE EL SEGUNDO DUNES & COASTAL PRAIRIE

(the El Segundo Dunes start in Playa del Rey and continue south all the way to the Palos Verdes Peninsula, extending inward from the sea up to three miles. Approximately 300 acres of the dunes remain in an unpaved state, and most is owned by the L.A. City Department of Airports. A small area remains at the Chevron Oil refinery three miles south of Playa del Rey. )
