Bush Appointed Counsel defies bush & law to remove GLBT protection

Federal Counsel Denies Protection to GLBT

According to an article in the Washington Post, Special Counsel Scott Bloch told a Senate subcommittee that he can not and will not enforce protection for GLBT federal workers that has been the law of the land for 20 years.

He stated that If a federal manager fires, reassigns or takes some other action against an employee simply because that employee is gay, there is nothing in federal law that would permit the Office of Special Counsel to protect the worker.

This reverses 20 years of policy in the Office of Special Counsel.
