It varies widely by region, but this story indicates just about nine percent of Massachusetts residents have asthma, a dramatic increase from 1980. Like increases elswhere in the world, no one's putting their finger on a single reason.

Fabled fish medicine for asthma
What better way to start off this asthma blog, than with a strange story out of India. It's the 159th year of the fish cure, in which asthmatics gather in one city to partake of a supposed cure for asthma. Adherents say it must be taken over three consecutive years to have an effect.
