A new medication for asthma sufferers is now available in southern Colorado. It's called Xolair, an injection that can be administered one to two times a month. Doctors say it has to be prepared in a specific way before it can do its job.
There's a bit of a catch, though
"It changes the immune system so it totally turns off the allergic antibody," said Allergist Dr. William Storms.
My asthma would have to be pretty bad to take something that changes the immune system.
