Children's medicine rights going national

Good news from the Allergy & Asthma Network Mothers of
Asthmatics
(AANMA): The U.S. House yesterday approved a bill that

gives funding preference to states that protect students' rights to carry and self-administer lifesaving asthma and/or anaphylaxis medication.

Now it's on to the U.S. Senate.

"But it's critical for the health and safety of our
children that the Senate passes companion bill S. 2815 before senators leave for recess," says AANMA founder and president Nancy Sander. "This bill saves lives, and it doesn't cost states or the federal government a dime."

As noted earlier, California is ahead of the curve on this one.
