I do my best breathing at dusk Lungs seem to be on a schedule. A new study implies that lung function increases and decreases at specific times for people with breathing disorders.

Tobacco smoke and asthma A new study out of Finland is getting some attention for suggesting that smokers increase their risk of asthma by about 30 percent. However,
The risk of asthma was proportional to the number of cigarettes smoked each day and the total number smoked during a lifetime so far. The finding did not apply to heavy smokers, who smoked more than 15 cigarettes a day, or who had smoked a lot of cigarettes during their life.
The researchers believe this finding, which they found surprising, might be explained by heavy smokers giving up or cutting down as soon as they have any breathing problems, before they have had a chance to be diagnosed with asthma.
So I guess the lesson is, if you smoke, really smoke.
