Yeah, we get it Since most careful readers know that news media failed the nation during the debate leading up to the war in Iraq, the endless numbers of folks now stepping up to make that claim don't add anything to the discussion. Nonetheless, let them weigh in ,as a media columnist does in the Miami Hearld. Unfortunately, he doesn't use much in the way of concrete examples. I think I mentioned the bangup job students in my News Criticism class did tracking the media tendencies to marginalize protesters and avoid difficult questions. I mention it again only to say that the evidence was there so very long ago. The mea culpas almost add salt to the wounds after Americans and Iraqis have died needless deaths. 9:30:53 AM     comment []
