A  Rant

Okay, so I'm not so happy this morning. I don't want to sound like a sore loser, because John Kerry was not the most inspirational of campaigner. That said-- what the hell is wrong with people out there? More importantly-- what is wrong with the mainstream press?
Bush owes a lot to the mainstream press. It helped push the nation toward acceptance of the Bush presidency after the U.S. Supreme Court handed him the presidency, and it pretty much gave Bush a free pass after 9/11. Critical coverage of the debate leading up to the war was nonexistent in most news media, and the press pretty much let the White House set the tone and agenda for campaign coverage.
The PIPA/Knowledge Networks surveys have been indicating.a strong link between knowledge and media consumption: FOX NEWS viewers and many GOP supporters in the polls have shown major misperceptions about the reality of the war and other issues.
Ohio is not in officially, but I suspect that Kerry/Edwards will be pressured into backpedaling on the promise to get all votes counted.
I guess it's time to renew my blogging energies. We  will we need more people watching the White House, Senate, and Congress-- and news media.

Back soon.
